Axis and Allies Europe WWI Scenario (v1.1)

Introduction (by thrasher)

In this scenario the Central Powers Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Otoman Empire face the forces of the Allied Nations. The latter alliance consists of Russia, Britain, France, Italy and the US. The Americans only enter the war in case Russia has fallen. This is version 1.1 (August 1 2001).

Changed Rules

Artillery:

Normal rules except they do not raise infantry’s attack value to two.

Figthers:

Attack - 2 Defense - 3 Movement - 4

Advanced Fighters:

Attack - 3 Defense - 4 Movement - 4

Bombers / AircraftCarriers:

There are no bombers or aircraft carriers.

Tanks:

Attack - 2 Defense - 2 Movement - 1

Tanks raise troops attack value to two

Submarines:

Apply normal rules. The Allies cannot build submarines.

Weapon Development

Weapons development is the same as in original Axis & Allies. A roll of six is a special case:

If the Central Powers succeed in rolling a six to start development, they roll again. A low roll of 1, 2 or 3 gets advanced fighters. A high roll of 4, 5 or 6 gets tanks. For the allied powers, a roll of 1 or 2 gets submarines, a roll of 3 or 4 gets advanced fighters, and a roll of 5 or 6 gets tanks. Fall of Russia

Once the central powers take control of East Poland, Bessarabia, Baltic States, Ukraine S.S.R. and Belorussia, Germany receives Vyborg and Finland, the Ottoman Empire receives Caucasus, and Russia leaves the war. Once Russia falls, the US joins the war.

Central Powers - Force Russia out of the war and occupy 3 of the 4 listed territories: Northern Italy, France, Great Britain, and United States. Allied Powers - Occupy Germany and either Austria or Turkey.
