The Battleship is the most expensive and powerful unit in Axis & Allies, and for good reason.

Unit Characteristics[]
Battleships are able to carry out naval bombardment during the opening fire step of an amphibious invasion.
In TripleA, they can generally take two hits to kill, making them a more worthwhile investment.
In AAC, they are killed like any other unit, but in the later versions, they are 2 hits to kill. AAG40 adds the requirement of being add a naval base to repair.
